Background
The latest annual mid-year population estimates for Scotland and its constituent Health Board and Council areas. This section also includes historical data back to 1982 and a time series dataset.
Note
The population estimates for 2003 to 2006 have been revised after we reviewed our methodology. The revisions affect the 6 council areas of Aberdeen City, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee City, Moray and Perth and Kinross. These revised estimates replace the previously published estimates.
