Figure 1.2.2 (17 Kb PDF file) shows that Glasgow and Dundee have a high proportion of households with no cars. This could be due to the cost of parking in inner city areas, a much more environmentally friendly approach or good public transport - although, as remarked earlier, non ownership of a car is considered to be an indicator for access deprivation.
