Life Expectancy at Scotland Level

Period life expectancy in table 1 and table 2 (below) is produced by the Office for National Statistics (ONS). The figures in table 1 are based on aggregate mortality rates for the groups of years shown, and so, provides a historical comparison in which fluctuations in mortality which occur between calendar years have been smoothed out to some extent. Table 2 shows extracts from the most recent period life tables for selected ages.

The tables below have been made available as Excel, Comma Separated Value (CSV) and Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) in  format. When opening the files your browser, depending on how it's been configured, will prompt to either open the file or save it to disk. Maximum file size is 24 kb.
