2. Purpose of Household Estimates

Household estimates are used for compiling and monitoring housing plans.  They are also used to plan service provision, and as the denominator for other statistics, such as the percentage of households receiving benefits.  Household estimates are also used in the production of household projections for Scotland, every two years.
