Scottish Statistics Plan 2007/08 Population and Migration

We are responsible for the collection and dissemination of statistics on Population and Migration. The Scottish Statistics Plan 2007/ 08 Population and Migration highlights key outputs, resources, the progress we made in the year 2006 to 2007 and the improvements we have planned for 2007 into 2008.

Statistical Services in Scotland

All statistics on this website that link to Statistical Services in Scotland are National Statistics publications. These statistics undergo regular quality assurance reviews to ensure that they meet customer needs. They are produced free from any political interference.

Statement of Compliance

The Statement of Compliance sets out how the Scottish Administration implements the National Statistics Code of Practice and its associated Protocols.

Data Access and Confidentiality

The Statement of Compliance with the National Statistics Code of Practice and Protocols (PDF format - 38 Kb) sets out the arrangements that GROS have put in place to protect the security of our data holdings and guarantee that no individual can be identified from our statistics unless agreed with them.

It also set out how GROS will obtain maximum value from our micro-data by extending access to our bona-fide and authorised third parties

You can find information from our different User Consultation Groups and Seminars associated with the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS).

ScotStat

ScotStat is a network for users and providers of Scottish Official statistics. It aims to improve communication amongst those interested in particular statistics and facilitate the setting up of working groups on specific statistical issues. You can access ScotStat from the statistics section of the Scottish Government website.
