Data Access and Confidentiality

The Statement of Compliance with the National Statistics Code of Practice and Protocols (PDF format - 38 Kb) sets out the arrangements that the National Records of Scotland (NRS), formerly General Register Office for Scotland (GROS), have put in place to protect the security of our data holdings and guarantee that no individual can be identified from our statistics unless agreed with them.

It also sets out how NRSwill obtain maximum value from our micro-data by extending access to our bona-fide and authorised third parties.
