GROS Strategic Corporate, General and Key Business Objectives for 2007-08

1. Introduction

Each year, the Objectives for each part of GROS are set out in the GROS Management and Business Plan (GROSPlan). Progress on each of the high-level objectives are reported quarterly to the Departmental Strategy and Planning Group (DSPG), which is the main management board for the Department.

Strategic Corporate Objectives (SCOs)

These are set by DSPG and the majority are communicated through SE Finance to our Ministers and Parliament as part of our Spending Review and annual Budget submission process

These objectives span up to four years (to take account of the extra year in a Spending Review) and by their nature they are high-level and often will relate to some aspect of Government policy.

General Business Objectives (GBOs)

These objective are intended to capture the routine business of each part of the organisation.

Key Business Objectives (KBOs)

These are set by the relevant Programme Board and are those objectives that must be met to ensure that the Divisions continue to run in an efficient and effective manner and, probably more importantly, successfully implements significant initiatives that influence the business of the Division or the Office as a whole.

GROS is currently split into four Divisions:

Registration Division.
Census Division.
Demography Division.
Corporate Services Division
