• ScotlandsPeople customers will be aware that the Modern Day Indexes up to 2006 for births and deaths became available on the website on 23 January 2008. This has resulted in a considerable upturn in Extract orders. General Register Office for Scotland staff, who issue these Extracts, are doing everything possible to ensure that customers receive their orders on time, but there may be some unavoidable delays. At this time can we please ask that customers awaiting extracts remain patient, and be assured that their orders are being processed as quickly as possible.
