Formal Consultations and Supplementary Work

Scotland’s consultation on the main statistical outputs from the 2011 Census continues and provides an opportunity for users to help shape the main statistical outputs for the 2011 Census. Outputs are an assortment of census products that are designed to meet a wide range of users of census data. The 2001 Census tabular outputs can be accessed on the SCROL website

Scotland’s 2011 Census: Proposed Running Order for Release of Statistical Results
A paper has been published  outlining our proposals for the provisional running order of the main statistical series of outputs from Scotland’s 2011 Census. An indicative outline of the content of the first release of statistics, planned for July 2012, is also provided.

February 2011 Census Outputs Consultation
The February 2011 outputs consultation invited data users to review and comment on draft outlines of proposals for new pre-defined tables that will be produced from the 2011 Census as well as on some other related issues.

Spring 2010 Census Consultation 
The Spring 2010 consultation invited users to get involved and help shape the main statistical outputs and specialist products that will be produced from the 2011 Census.

Spring 2007 Census Consultation
The 2007 formal consultation collected views on a number of key topics including questionnaire content, methodology and outputs.

Autumn 2004 Census Consultation
Formal census consultation began in 2004 by asking census data users on their views of the 2001 census and initial plans for 2011.
