Census Outputs Survey and Blog

25 September 2008

1. Online outputs survey

Earlier this year the UK Census Offices ran an online survey which asked census data users about their use and experience of 2001 Census outputs and their high-level requirements for 2011 Census outputs.

 The output survey issues included:

  • Products

  • Access

  • Dissemination

  • Metadata

Initial findings from the survey have now been posted on the 2011 UK Census Output Consultation website.

The findings presented are an initial overview.  A more detailed analysis is being carried out and further reports will be posted as they become available.

2. Outputs Blog

The online survey is supplemented by a UK 2011 Census Output Consultation blog run in conjunction with the Hansard Society.  This is an opportunity to elaborate on the survey’s topics and any issues it raised.  You can also discuss ideas and exchange views on census outputs with other data users.

The census outputs blog will continue to run until further notice - we look forward to hearing your views.
