GROS Corporate Plan 2009 to 2012

09 June 2009

Like other Scottish public bodies, the General Register Office for Scotland (GROS) operates within the National Performance Framework set by Scottish Ministers. The Framework (see http://www.scotland.gov.uk/About/purposestratobjs) underpins delivery of the Scottish Government’s Purpose which is:-

“To focus government and public services on creating a more successful country, with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish, through increasing sustainable economic growth.”

The achievement of that objective depends on people – and GROS is the main source of information on the population of Scotland.

Our Strategic Objectives for 2009-12 link the National Outcomes and Purpose Targets, which are designed to achieve the Government’s Purpose, with the work of every part of GROS and provide a line of sight from the National Performance Framework to the job descriptions of individual GROS staff, through the Key Business Objectives and Operational Objectives which underlie the Strategic Objectives.
